1. Introduction
Welcome to Hoe Hoe Landscapers Limited. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our landscaping services. By engaging our services or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Hoe Hoe Landscapers is a family-run business that provides professional landscaping services to residential and commercial clients.
2. Services
We provide a range of landscaping services, including but not limited to:
- Decking
- Paving
- Fencing
- Hedge cutting
- Retaining walls
- Sleeper walls
- Raised beds
- Garden structures
- Artificial grass
- Water features
3. Estimates
- Any estimate provided is valid for six (6) weeks from the date of issue.
- All prices are subject to change depending on what is revealed once work commences.
- Any price variations will be discussed with you and supplied as a written estimate prior to any further work being carried out.
4. Invoices and Payment
- All invoices are payable on the date of issue unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- For larger projects, a deposit may be required before work commences.
- For multi-stage or long-duration projects, invoicing may be issued in phases (e.g., deposit, mid-project, and final completion). Each phase invoice will be due upon issue, and work may pause if payments are not made on time.
- Final payment for standard projects is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Payment can be made via bank transfer, the details can be found in the footer or each invoice. Late payments may incur additional charges as permitted by UK law.
5. Cancellations and Changes
- If you need to reschedule a service, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation or late-notice fee.
- Changes to the agreed scope of work may result in additional charges and extended completion times.
- Once an estimate is accepted, the job can no longer be cancelled. Customers are required to pay in full upon completion of the project.
6. Weather and Delays
- We reserve the right to postpone work due to adverse weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control.
- We will notify you as soon as possible and reschedule at the earliest opportunity.
7. Materials and Special Orders
- If materials, plants, or products are required for your project, these may be purchased in advance to secure availability and pricing. Once materials have been purchased, they are non-refundable, even if you decide to change, delay, or cancel the planned work.
- You will remain responsible for the cost of any materials already purchased on your behalf.
8. Access to the Property & Site Conditions
- The client must ensure safe and reasonable access to the work area.
- Access routes (gates, driveways, paths) must be clear for workers and equipment.
- Additional charges may apply for delays caused by blocked access, parked vehicles, pets, or site obstructions.
9. Waste Removal & Disposal
- Waste removal is included only if specified in the quotation.
- Additional waste or green waste outside the agreed scope may incur extra charges.
- Hazardous waste is not removed unless specifically agreed in writing.
10. Plants and Living Materials
- We source and install healthy plants, but cannot guarantee their survival after installation.
- Weather conditions, pests, soil issues, and client aftercare are outside our control.
- Replacement of dead plants is not included unless specified in writing.
11. Use of Photographs
- We may take before-and-after photographs of completed work for our portfolio, website, or marketing.
- No personal details, house numbers, or identifiable data will be included.
- Clients may opt out by informing us before work begins.
12. Client Responsibilities
- The client must provide accurate information on property boundaries and underground services.
- The client is responsible for notifying us of any hazards, drainage issues, or structural risks.
- Children and pets must be kept away from the work area for safety.
- The client must ensure that utilities (water, power) are available if required for the work.
13. Liability and Insurance
- We carry £2 million public liability insurance to cover accidental damage or injury caused during the provision of our services.
- We take every care to protect your property but cannot be held responsible for damage to underground services not clearly marked or disclosed.
- Clients are responsible for ensuring clear access to work areas and the security of their property.
14. Workmanship Guarantee
- Hard landscaping works (e.g., patios, decking, fencing) include a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
- The guarantee excludes damage caused by weather, subsidence, misuse, or lack of proper maintenance.
- Natural wear and tear is not covered.
- Warranty claims must be reported as soon as possible with photographic evidence where applicable.
15. Privacy
- By using our services or website, you agree to our Privacy Policy which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
16. Complaints
- We are committed to resolving any concerns promptly and professionally. Please contact us directly to address any complaints.
17. Changes to Terms
- We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and, where appropriate, notified to you directly.
